Good day, we're using VMWare Horizon as our remote desktop app in connecting to our work PC using our home PC.
So this is my story:
Just 2 weeks ago, I'm connected to VMWare Blast and my flow of work seems to be fine. Then just last week, I suddenly noticed that my connection to RD became very slow - response time for every move 3-5 seconds, sometimes it hangs up for an extended time when my home internet connection and outside VM performance (home PC) is fine (and fast) when I did not make any changes whatsoever to the setup of the VM or my home PC. I ran a lot of speed test already and my internet seems to be working fine (DL/UL speed is satisfactory), my ISP have no reported service interruption, although I too, did my best in troubleshooting the issue namely - restarting the internet modem, changing my connection to LAN, updated the VMWare app to version 8.1.0 and restarting and resetting both the home and VM machine. I am bothered by this and I don't know what to do anymore.
For the meantime I am using the PCoIP connection which is also slow, but bearable compared to Blast: VM view responds slow by showing the window partially (other parts were black) especially with share screens - not only the response of the sharer is slow on my view, but the quality of the video is poor.
Please help. Your advice is appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
Mark
Like scott mentions contact your companies IT, there are optimizations that may need to be done, either with blast its self or network traffic. There is nothing you can do on your end, the people who maintain the horizon software need to make changes to improve the conenction
What did your IT team say, as your first point of contact?

Hi Scott, my IT here said to refer to my ISP, but my ISP actually told me they're not having any interruptions on their end...
Hi Jesse, is it possible that optimization can happen even if I'm the only one experiencing it? My other colleagues say that they don't experience on their end...
