VLAN for VMware View VM's

Hi All,

Am about to implement VMware View in my organization, i have a query that whether view provides features like providing VM's in VLAN's

Example. I want to provide vm's for HR , Finance, Projects in their own specific VLAN's in LinkedClone features.

Please suggest on this

Hey Raju,  You have a couple of options here to distribute your clones into the appropriate VLANS. 

You can have multiple snapshots hanging off the parent with each snapshot in a paticular VLAN.  You would then base your pool on which ever snapshot you needed.    The downside of this is having to maintain multiple images.

You could also have some type of powershell script that will either run after VMs have been created to switch them over to a particular VLAN.    I think Andre has done some blogging on this method in the past.   http://myvirtualcloud.net/?p=1838
