VIEW COMPOSER CONNECTION ERROR

Hi, I have set up a View 5.3.2 environment and everything is configured on the domain. However after adding VCenter to the Connection Server I can't seem to add Composer.

I'm getting the error "A connection problem occurred between View Connection Server, View Composer , and vCenter Server".

I have attached a few screen shots for back up.

Any help on this would be great.

Have you installed composer?

Is the firewall open on 18443?

Can you telnet to 18443 from the connection broker?

Did you accept the certificate on the picture.

Thanks Linjo.

'Have you installed composer?'

Yes. See attached screenshot.

"Is the firewall open on 18443?"

Again I have attached a Screen Shot that it shows as 'Listening'.

Can you telnet to 18443 from the connection broker?

Yes.

Again I have attached the print screen showing a blank screen.

Command used:

#telnet VIEW-VC55.VIEWAD.COM 18443

And yes I did accept the Certificate in the picture.

One other thing I did do was to check out the VMware KB article 2085142 and I went thru the steps with this.

See attached Print Screen of Permissions in VC but this had no positive result.

Hi Linjo,

  • Have you installed composer? - YES - See attached PS
  • Is the firewall open on 18443? - YES - See attached PS
  • Can you telnet to 18443 from the connection broker? - YES - See attached PS
  • Did you accept the certificate on the picture. - YES

One other thing I did do was to follow VMware KB Article 2085142

but this had no positive effect on the Connection of Composer.

Again I attached a PS of Permissions in the VC,

Yes.

At least that's what it's telling me in Virtual Center Services.
