VDM - Windows Terminal Server

Folks,

I have this test environment, I re-installed VDM Server, VDM Agent and VDM Client. I added a new Windows XP box in my domain. When, I try to connect to the VM, from the VDM Clinet, it gets connected. But, on the start Menu of the VM, it shows Windows Terminal Server. I am lost, why am I seeing this termial server on the start menu of the VM.

Ay ideas, as to how can I turn this feature off will be highly appreciated. I have checked the Terminal service option on my VDM Server and it is not installed on that machine.

Thanks

Have you verified the hostname of the guest you are connecting to in order to validate that you are actually connecting to your XP VM?

Yes, I am sure, I have connected to the newely created VM. Infact, that is the only VM that is entitled to me. Smiley Happy

I did a little testing with this and it doesn't seem to be related to VMware/VDM at all. I used RDP to get into three Windows XP boxes. The first box was just a virtual XP machine, second was a virtual XP with the VDM agent installed, and the third was a physical XP workstation. All three showed the Microsoft Terminal Server on the start menu. It must be some type of flag to show your connected through RDP???? I haven't been able to duplicate it on my Vista machines yet. I don't know of a way to remove it but I will update the thread if I find one.
