VAAI and VMware View

We are looking at storage for a new View deployment. I was curious if a VAAI enabled SAN provides substantial performance increases for View specifically. Any advice is much appreciated.

I would think that performance increase would be similar to what you see in Server enviroments.  As far as I know VAAI doesn't do anything to increase performance of the operating systems but instead increases performance on SAN based jobs such as provisioning and snapshots.

In our server environment, I could see serious performance enhancements due to copy acceleration for cloning and storage vmotion. In a View environment, once you've provisioned your base VMs, where would VAAI come in to play? Presumably you wouldn't be moving or cloning them too often. I have heard of a VAAI 2 feature called "Native Snapshots" which sounds like it may help the linked-clone functionality, but I have been struggling to find more details about it.

I would think that Native Snapshot Support could be really helpful. However, I'm not sure I understand enough about the interaction between this feature and linked clones to really say. Any thoughts?
