Using IP Pools with View Desktop VMs to Manage IPs

I need to sperate different pools of non-persistent desktops into different IP ranges. For example:

  • Pool_A : 172.16.52.10 - 172.16.52.50

  • Pool_B : 172.16.52.60 - 172.16.52.100

I do not see a way to do this with DHCP, so I am trying to do it wirh IP Pools but with no luck.

So far I have created a pool in my subnet, checked Enable IP Pool and entered 172.16.52.10#40 for the range.

Left everything under *DHCP *blank (as I can't figure out what they are for), Proxy blank and entered my info under DNS. I assoicated it with a Port Group called Pool_A_Ports, which is were VMs of that pool are.

I placed the pool in a vApp with the following settings:

  • Advanced -> IP Allocation -> OVF Environment: Checked and IPv4 selected

  • IP Allocation Policy-> Transient

The VMs are getting IPs outside the specified range from my regular DHCP server. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very greatful. Thank you.
