User app defaults getting reset to "TWINUI" after recomposing Windows 10 1903

When I recompose VDI's, some of the user's default apps get reset to "TWINUI". For example, "Photo" gets reset from the Windows Photo Viewer to TWINUI, and when trying to change it back, it just closes the settings window without making any changes.

Has anyone experienced this issue or know of a fix? Thanks

I had the same issue the other day. I resolved the issue on my account by deleting my writable volume in App Volumes.

These changes to file type association are user-based hence when you recompose, it gets reverted to machine-based default setting which is what is default on your gold image. It gets captured in user profile.Do you use any profiling solution in the environment to set the File type association? These settings are sometimes hard to retain in windows 10 until you force it to do so using a profile based solution like VMware Dynamic environment manager.
