Upgrading to VMware Horizon 7.13 while using JMP Server Assignments

Hi,

we would like to upgrade our VMware Horizon environment. Specifically, this is a version upgrade of the following components:

VMware Horizon Connection Server
from v7.12.0 to v7.13.1
VMware Horizon Agent
from v7.12.0 to v7.13.1
App Volumes Manager
from v2.18.6.24 to v2.18.10
Dynamic Environment Manager
from v9.11.0.932 to 2103
Unified Access Gateway
from v3.9 to v2103.1

For our environment, we use JMP Assignments through the JMP Server. We are using this Feature extensivly. However, with version 7.13.0, the JMP Server is no longer required as described on the following docs post - https://docs.vmware.com/de/VMware-Horizon-7/7.13/horizon-upgrades/GUID-37449047-4E44-426C-BB9D-D6F55....

How can we continue to use the assigned JMP Assignments or, if there is a follow on technology for this, how can we use and configure it. How will assignments from the former JMP server be set in the future? How are existing assignments of the JMP server taken over?

Best regards

Hello,

does no one have a suggestion how to create and roll out assignments without the JMP server?

Kind Regards

I just use active directory groups, never really used JMP in the first place since we don't do alot of updates. If you do groups for the horizon pools, appstacks, and condition sets in UEM you just have to put users in the correct groups. Its a bit more work but you can acheive the same end goal.
