All,
How is the View 4.6 to upgrade 5.0 considered? (complex or similar to the 4.5 to 4.6?)
Is it an update in place or do components need to be uninstalled first?
Any gotchas?
Any information would be helpful.
Thank you,
E
I personally like a clean upgrade and to just swing the users into the new system, but honestly 4.6 to 5.0 upgrade is very straight forward. Next, next, next finish kind of upgrade. This is assuming your current system is in great condition and there is no need to rearchitect it. Or to put it another way, if you are happy with your View now and have no complaints, I think a direct upgrade would be simple and wouldn't be concerned about it. I just personally like a fall back plan that a direct upgrade doesn't give you.

Can anyone confirm if using a View client of 4.6 or 5.0 connecting to a VDI Win7 desktop that is using the View 4.6 Agent with backend connection/security brokers of version 4.6 will work or not???
Thanks in advance...
At our shop we are using 4.5 and 4.6 clients to connect to a 4.6 Win7 (4.6 agent), sometimes the 4.5 clients fail but when upgraded to 4.6 all is usually okay.
