Update View connection Broker 5.0.1 now admin portal is Gray?

Have performed a upde of my 2 connection brokers, follwoed the process to stop, uninstall, install, restart. When it comes up all looks good, users can log on to their sessions but, when i go to https://<BrokerName>/admin it fails to give me a login box and just sits at the grey background 😞

Both brokers come up exactly the same ...

thoughts anyone?

Ok so as no one else seems to have hit this either we are unlucky or we are unique 🙂

What the problem turned out to be was the "Admin-<buildnumber>.swf" file in the %install-directory%/VMwareView/server/broker/webapps/admin/flash directory, this file was replaced by the one from the prior release which was then renamed to be the one in this release and all now works. It may be that this is a corruption in the binaries or problem in the packaging but any how it is annoying to say the least.

I have exactly the same issue. I tried the upgrade in a sandbox, and boy am I glad I did.

I hope there will be a 5.0.2 soon where this is fixed as I don't want to go with an upgrade that behaves like this.

How could this ever make it thru QA?

We're unable to reproduce this other than when an older version of flash is in use - and in that case upgrading to a newer version of flash resolved the issue in our testing.  Can you confirm:

a) did you only see the issue when attempting to connect to View Administrator whilst logged on to the Connection Server?

b) did you only see this issue when attempting to connect from a  browser running on 2008R2 Server, and if so, what browser (and flash  version if known).

c) if you tried to solve this by moving to a later flash  version, did you try clearing browser and flash player cache after  upgrading flash, and then seeing if you can launch View Administrator  correctly?

Thanks

Jon

Hello! The solution I got from Support was to copy the old swf files back so I did. Sorry, but I have moved on since then.
