Unified access Gateway questions

We are looking into deploying a unified access gateway and have a couple questions.

1. Is one NIC a supported configuration that works well? Is anyone else running this with one NIC?

2. Is layer 2 adjacency a factor with the unified access gateway? I have searched and i can't find any information that suggests this will affect the behavior of the access gateway.

3. Is there a network latency requirement between the access gateways and the connection servers? We are thinking of putting the access gateway in a DMZ and there would be several hops before it will reach the connection servers and was wondering if this would be an issue?

Yes , if it is a POC this is more than enough and i have tested it .

Not clear with the query. Can you be bit more precise on this ask ?

I have tested both 1 NIC and 3 NIC configuration in a DMZ network . Network latency for what ? Accessing VM/APP etc ?  .Every environment/architecture is different and selecting the right protocol really matters . I will not assume hop count as a latency factor unless it is proven after a full fledged network test. For sure when we talk about DMZ few hop's are expected . In my implementation VDI machine access is giving same performance irrespective it is internal or external access via DMZ.
