USB-VDM

Hello everyone,

VDI in my environment I created and functioning properly, now I'm trying to see how it works with the HP thin client ... I connect successfully to virtual machines using VDM, but I can not see the USB devices that connect locally to the Thin ! Is there any particular procedure to detect the devices to the guest ?

Thanks

What is your thin client's OS?

WinXPe: after connection look at the up of screen -> Connect USB Device.

Linux: it depends

I'm not sure, will it work for GT7725, but on my t5545 thin client (OS: HP ThinPro):

Control Panel -> USB Manager. Choose All USB to -> VMware View

What version vmware software do you use (VDI 2, View Manager 3.x or View Madager 4.x)?

Do you add manualy View Client to the thin client, or it was preinstalled?

I use View Manager 4 and the client was pre-installed on Thin-Client...

with RDP Connection the USB work correctly also with a external HDD!

I have similar problem. To resolve it, I install HP ThinPro Add-On (Brokers Update) for my t5545:

ENHANCEMENTS:

  • Provides the VMware View 4.0.1 Certified Client-Side Broker Agent with:

  • PCoIP support

  • VMware USB redirection

I can't find such add-on for GT7725. IMHO, you can try update local linux to latest image.

- View 4.0.1 Agent with PCoIP Support for accessing VMware Brokers
