Hi any insight on how to get a usb smart card reader to work on a virtual machine? usb memory sticks work fine when connected.

Are you trying to use something like USB redirection to bring it inside the VM?
yeah anything to get it working?

We are only using the smart card for online banking.
Usually any usb devices connected will appear under connect usb device but this doesnt.

Struggling to enable advanced debug logging
try to run c:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Client\DCT\support.bat loglevels
but command is not recognised. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
