USB Redirection with HP ThinPro OS?

Hi,

I am trying to configure a HP thin client "t5545", working with an OS named HP ThinPro.

Unfortunately I cannot redirect USB devices like printer. Is it possible with HP ThinPro?

Or have I choosen the wrong thin client?

Regards,

Andre

wrong one.

right one is t5145.

and that is only one that exist (of HP's).

and will only work after firmware update.

Alternative is Wyse (which requires aditional licence)

Andre,

It is possible. A couple of thoughts. I tested two versions of ThinPro - Build 19 and Build 31. Overall, Build 31 was a big improvement, so I suggest running this version if you're not already. For USB redirection, be sure to install the free HP USB Enhancements software on the VM. See the "HP RDP Multimedia and USB Enhancement Software (Server Side)" link at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3719106&.... Hope this helps.

In order to get USB Redirection (and multimedia) working on ThinPro build 31 for the t5545, you need a software Add-on (modular update or patch) called "HP RDP Multimedia & USB Enhancement Software" found at the link below.

The release notes tell you how to upgrade.
