I signed up for the free trial of Horizon to play with it in my lab, and I'm trying to get the UAG installed, but the recommended method is to use a powershell script that doesn't appear to be available to download as part of the trial. Is this an oversight, or am I just screwed and going to have to do it the manual way?
Previously the PowerShell scripts were available here. Now it mentions that they much be downloaded along with the UAG OVA. Raise an SR or contact your account team/VAR requesting the files.
Using PowerShell to Deploy VMware Unified Access Gateway
While this answer is technically correct, I was unable to find any way to raise a support ticket with my free trial account. I assume that's something they only offer paid users? That's why I came here. Perhaps somebody with an actual account could bring this up?
You only need a my VMware account to create an SR which you would have needed for the trial. Either call (877) 486-9273 or submit one online and they should be able to help you out. Alternatively you can determine who your local rep is and contact them.
I called, and unfortunately because this is an evaluation they are unable to open a service request ticket. So, it seems like if you're using an evaluation, you don't get access to the powershell scripts.
Do you have a VAR or VMware account team you can contact?
markbenson can you help out here?
I have neither. Just a home user account trying to get some View experience on my eWaste servers
. I could possibly ping some of my co-workers @ work and see if they can get me a copy of the scripts, but I don't have access to any of the view stuff at work, just the ESXi and vCenter.
For home use you should consider VMUG Advantage for the EVALExperience licenses.
