Two Questions: Guest Video Memory and PCoIP Client HD Mapping

Hello,

I had two questions about View.

1) Does the guest VM's video memory use the ESX hosts physcial RAM or does it use the RAM located on the ESX hosts physical video card?

2) I know you can redirect the end-user's hard drives to the guest operating system when using RDP but can you do the same for when the end-user uses PCoIP? If not do you mind sharing how your end users are moving data to and from the client and guest VM?

Thanks in advance,

Casey

Hello Casey,

The ESX/VIEW4 environment uses emulated graphics CPU, not a physical

video card. You can move data by sharing/mapping drives and folders

between your VM and your fat client.
