Thinprint GPO

Can I TURN ThinPrint local printing to OFF on the images and only allow my users to print locally after they have been granted access.   Is there is a GPO policy to control the services for the ThinPrint application.

The only GPO options for ThinPrint that I am aware of are for location based printing.    In your environment are you dealing with dedicated or floating pools?

Is that a yes for the dedicated pool or the floating pool?

Sorry, dealing with floating pools only.

This could be a PITA but you could set the services to manual in your image, modify your logins script to start the service,  and then create a security group that has access to start the service.

This way anyone that logs in that is part of the security group will have the service start via the login script.   You would have to use either a logoff script to stop the services or use a power policy to make sure machines shutdown after a user logs off.
