Thinapp and Mac OSX

Hi. Is it possible to package a Thinapp application like IE, store the package on a file share and have a Mac user launch the package (within OSX)?

Thanks

this is not possible at the moment as thinapp application can only run from win2k to win7 only.

No, this is not possible. Thinapp requires Windows, and with the way it is designed this is not likely to change soon.

Thanks. I was hoping to find a solution that would allow both Mac and Windows users to launch a common browser from their respective platforms (i.e. Mac user launch IE8 from OSX). Offering VMware Fusion or VMware View is not an option. They are required to bring up a web application that's running on a Linux application server.

Any suggestions?

If Fusion or View are not acceptable solutions, then I think your best bet would be to look towards other vendors. XenApp might be a good solution.

I think you are going the wrong direction for this. I sudgest you just use a browser that shares the same code across platforms. I sudgest any of the webkit browsers. (chrome/safari/iphone/ipad).   Chrome is the one I have standardised through out our company. If you do not target IE you will find that your web app will run in almost all the other browser without any change.

There are many protable versions of Chrome.
