Hi,
I am working for a HP reseller and VMware Partner. I am not really impressed by the the performance of the HP T5545. It is not bad but now awesome. I am looking for an alternative such as Wyse P20 with PCoIP built-in.
Is it worth the move as I must convinced my boss that we should sell this unit instead of an HP?
On another hand, is there any other HP thin that you are really impressed for PCoIP, MMR and usb capacities?
Thanks you

Absolute, the difference betweeen an HP T5545 and Wyse P20 for Vmware View is HUGE.
Just ask your supplier to deliver a demo model and test it yourself.
We did the same, and turned on the HP thin client only once, after that we were convinced to use the P20 !
As you suggested, I contacted Wyse yesterday for a demo unit. I hope that the difference of performance will be enought to convince my boss that we should include this thin in our solution.
I am getting a demo unit from both Wyse (P20) and HP (T5545) next week. I am interested in what you think the deficincies of the HP client are, since the HP rep will be here dropping the unit off I can see what his response is. Since we will be evaluating them side by side, I'll probably be able to see the differences myself, but since we are only going to have 2 units with light use, I may not.
That's will be a nice test... I am really interested to see what you think as it is the same test than I would like to do.
The HP thin is a nice unit, I don't want to demolish the T5545 as my customer is happy with it, but I feel that I could be a bit better. My complaint are mostly multimedia related like full-screen Youtube video is really not viewable. It feel real nice for normal desktop usage (Word, business web browsing...) but I would hesitate for some power-user like Autocad / Photoshop....
I will wait your result with impatience.

We have both units. The T5545 is nowhere near the quality of the P20. It's slower in almost every aspect, requires more administration, etc.
We've had a few users try both and none would pick the T5545 over the P20. It's not even remotely close.
