System Requirements for View Security Server

Hello all,

I can not seem to find the System Requirements for view security servers in the View Manager 3.1 pdf.

Can anyone point me to the hardware and software requirements for this server.

Can this server co-exist with other applications on existing hardware in the DMZ? Thanks, -Jeff

Thanks for the quick reply Troy,

The client does not have an existing ESX infrastructure and I am trying to

come up with a budget friendly bare bones solution for them.

I thought that the View licenses for ESX does not allow for spinning up

servers, just desktops, so I would not be able to virtualized the View

Security , View Connection or VirtualCenter servers.

Am I mistaken, does the View ESX licenses allows for these server builds?

i hear what you are saying, but it's an "eat your own god food" scenario. I would confirm with your sales rep, because after all the security sever is a component of the VMware View Suite.

The answer I received from my sales rep was,

"The EULA allows desktop, View connection server, vCenter, and View security server VMs on the included ESX license."

So, I am able to design this solution onto two pieces of physical hardware. Thanks, -Jeff
