We are proposing to upgrade our current Connection Servers to 5.0 but they are running on Windows 2003 (64bit). The View 5.0 documentation states that the View 5.0 Connection Server must run on either Windows 2003 R2 (32bit) or Windows 2008 R2 (64bit).
Our current Connection Servers are running fine on Windows 2003 (64bit), so I wonder if the documentation is correct. I would think its more likely that Version 5.0 would require a x64 Windows.
Connection Server may run on other OS variants, but you should only run it on one of the supported OSs.
Note also that for PCoIP Gateway functionality, the Connection Server or Security Server must run Server 2008 R2 64 bit.
