Stuck on preparing your desktop phase

Hi Guys,

I've Horizon View infrastructure version 7.4 (Connection server & Agents).

VMWARE UEM 9.3

Horizon Client version 4.7

VDI OS - Windows 7 Enterprise - version 6.1 build 7601 SP1

our issue happens while the login process, Verbose enabled,

and i see at the last phase of the login on "Preparing your desktop" phase stuck for few long seconds and get released.

someone familiar with the issue? how can i troubleshoot this issue?

It's happen only with UEM.

Enable debug logging in UEM and check out the log file:

     VMware Knowledge Base

In UEM, make sure any of your logon tasks / settings are set to run asynchronously if they can run that way. Sounds like something is holding the user shell while processing.

Other things: Try using directflex for as many of your applications as you can so it doesn't delay your user login.

Check out the logon monitor logs. They may give you insight:

     C:\programdata\VMware\VMware Logon Monitor\Logs

Are you able to find the fix for this?

I'm currently have an open case with VMware support and support thinks that there's microsoft hotfix that we need to install on the Windows 7 computer.

But the problem is that hotfix no longer available on the Microsoft website. Will need to contact Microsoft Support to get it.

Did you apply this hotfix in your environment?

Btw, my login time is about 2 minutes (1 minute for windows and 1 minute for appvol).
