Strange Problem with View 4.01, composer and Storage LUN

Hi all,

I Have two ESX Infrastructure, one 3.5U5 with 3 server and one ESX 4U1 with 5 server (in the next two weeks will be only one with ESX4)

These server access to a two storage:

IBM DS3400 (Fibre Channel)

SUN Openstorage 7310 (FC and iScsi)

In the old infrastructure i use view 3.12 without composer, in the new i use View4.01 with composer)

As a subject i have a strange problem with view 4.01.

When i try to provide a new desktop pool, if check composer, in the datastore step, i see only one LUN (placed on 7310 via iScsi), if i don't check composer i see all the lun of both storage and protocols.

The luns are accessible by all the ESX.

Any idea?

I would first ask for more info.

What version of composer are you running?

How many total luns are we talking about? for each storage solution?

Generally the only luns that will come up when linke clones are selected are ones that are available to all the hosts within the cluster you select to deploy machines. There is a possibility that if these LUNs are also being presented to the 3.5 hosts that they are not available options.
