Here's the situation. I want to have a standardized wallpaper for an automated pool of Windows 7 virtual desktops. I have the wallpaper set on the base image using registry settings and the local group policy. However the linked clones do not show the wallpaper, only a black background. Inheritance is blocked on the OU for the virtual workstations and there are no gpo linked to the OU itself. Any ideas why I can not get the wallpaper to show up on the linked clones?
If you log in to the desktop via the vCenter Console do you see the wallpaper? Are you using RDP or PCoIP for connectivity?
It was a domain related issue that is now resolved.
I know this is a bit later. Do you remember exactly what the domain issue was? I'm running into this with a number of VMs in VIew as well.
Thanks!
