Sometime lost folder redirection in horizon 7

Hi together,

sometimes we lost the folder redirection from the local client (tsclient)

The error message is : \\tsclient\admsvc is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Attemp to access invalid address

The enviroment is :

VMware Horizon Connection and Securityserver in Version 7.0.2-4356666

All server with agent installation are Windows Server 2012 R2 and used only as RDSH with Desktop or Application. Agentversion is 7.0.2.436892

All Horizonclient are 4.3 and the access is only about wan

Our prefered protocol is Blast extreme.

If this error message comes up, if we want to browse with file explorer, we disconnect and logged off from desktop, relogin and it works.

Sometime for some hours.

This comes up for different users, from different offices to different RDSH.

Anyone has a idea where i can take a deeper look in the configuration or is this a known issues with a knowing workaround.

Thanks for your help

Best Regards

Thorsten

Hi

Same problem here with the same behavior.

The drives listed in the "Other" category disappear and by clicking on a shortcut pointing to a shared drive the message pops up:

\\tsclient\D is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Attemp to access invalid address

Normally a disconnect and reconnect is enough to workaround this problem.

Horizon View Admin 6.2.0 build-3005368

Agent Version: 6.2.0

Horizon Client: different, 4.2 and 4.3

Protocol used: PCoIP (only)

Hi Chrigi,

for you the answer is simple. Update the agent to 6.2.3 (take a look into the release note from this version, this problem fixed with 6.2.3)

On our installation we use 7.0.2

We have users experiencing this same issue. It does not seem to affect all users, only a few. The all use Blast but some have a Macbook as client while others have Windows 10 Enterprise. Logging off and on 'solves' it for a moment.

We use Horizon View 7.0.3 and Client 4.3.0.

Have you find a permanent solution for this issue? Perhaps upgrading to View 7.1 and Client 4.4 will do the trick.

We are having this same issue, same exact setup.  Isn't very consistent.. but over the last few days its been very consistent, like once every hour.  For months it was once a day at most.
