Hi, All
I refer the following site for new VMware Horizon View 5.2 architecture. I found there is no View Manager in component list.
The following site from VMware Horizon View Administration tells me that we can add vCenter Server Instances to View Manager through View Administrator.
I wonder what View manager is and Is it a sub component or a service of View Connection server? And What is the difference between View Manager and View
Administrator?
'View Manager' is simply the old name for the VMware Horizon View product. The iteration of names was something like;
VMware Virtual Desktop Manager 2.0
VMware View Manager 3.0
VMware View 4.0 -> 5.1
VMware Horizon View 5.2
Looks like the doc team hasn't changed that reference yet.
It should just read 'we can add vCenter Server instances to View through View Administrator.

I believe in this instance View manager represents the View Administration console which is found at https://servername/admin .

Hi, mikebarnett
Also as mittim12 mentioned, View manager represents the View Administration console.
And in the new VMware View 5.2, View Manage has been deprecated and VMware doc team has not update the references now.
If I get wrong understanding to your reply, pls tell me.
View Manager is a reference we haven't used since the product name of View changed after version 4. All references should be removed eventually but this one was just missed!
Hopefully this has clarified everything.

You should stop changing the name of the product
Ha! Agreed.
I'll talk to my people.
