Software unable to connect to server when VM accessed through View client. Works fine if i login to the VM through vSphere console.

I have some financial software that connects to an AIX server.  When I try to login to the server on a VM that's being accessed through the View Client, the AIX connection will fail.  If I remote desktop into it, it connects fine.  If I login to the machine through the vsphere Client, it connects fine.

What could the view client be doing to prevent the connection to go through?  What happens different when accessing the VM through the view client, then through remote desktop?  Persona is one thing, but don't know how that could affect my login.

I am using View 5.3 and client 2.2.  I was able to connect fine on 5.2 and the 5.2 client.

UPDATE:  If I login through the view client, and then remote desktop into the machine, taking the login session, the software will not connect either.  If I log out then remote desktop into it, the software connects fine.  This leads me to believe it's something to do with persona.

UPDATE2: Disabled persona, no change.  The program I'm trying to connect to AIX with has an embedded PUTTY client.  If I just use PUTTY to connect, it connects fine.  I don't get why it wouldn't connect through the program itself.

This issue of mine only happens when the machine is logged into using the view client.  If I log into it using vSphere for Remote Desktop, it's fine.  What is different about how view logs into a machine than the other methods?  There has to be something getting disabled/altered for the session.

Could you also try with View but using RDP instead of PCoIP?

I have tried connecting using RDP instead of PCoIP, same problem.

The software I'm having trouble with is Episys, if anyone has any insight on it.
