Software to use?

Does anyone have any recommendations for software to use to repurpose old computers? I would like something other than full Windows that brings up the View connection screen automatically.

There are quite a few options for this - USB boot, PXE to a Linux image but if you require software Stratodesk do a application which allows a connection to a variety of protocols, notably HDX and PCoIP..  They have a free trial too.

I'd definitely be tempted to do it myself though - perhaps a Linux boot disk with the Horizon client installed?   Could PXE this and then an autorun task for the client on boot?

We have close to 350 machines repurposed with Stratodesk and have been pretty happy with it.  We're also looking to use Stratodesk to repurpose quite a few laptops on an upcoming VDI project.

Thanks. I just started looking at Stratodesk and DevonIT. So far, Stratodesk looks a little better.
