Software for monitoring a pool

I am in an education environment, and we are currently using View in several of our computer labs. In one of the labs that is about to be replaced, we currently have some software installed on the machines that allows the teacher, from the podium, to have an overview of all the screens in the lab, and even take control of them if necessary.

Is there any kind of equivalent to that software built for View? Has anyone else ever tackled this problem, and could you share your methods?

We have used DameWare for this situation in training labs. This is what we have found to work the best.

We use RealVNC Enterprise (Authenticates via AD) to remote into View sessions.

We use lanschool, it works via channels, I do both installs on the fly so I can have a pool for different channels (different classrooms) or preloaded with a specific channel.
