Shutdown

We have  PCOIP thin clients and vmware view 5.0.1

Problem is, when users do not shutdown windows properly. Next day user can't connect to VDI because view agent is stopped but windows hangs on shutdown screen.

Any idea how to solve this?

Kind Regards,

You could force the shutdown of applications and services that are not responding.

Here is an example:

Automatically Close Applications Not Responding at Shutdown

Hello Linjo

We have the same problem, since we have VMware View 4.

Right now, we are using Horizon 6 with Windows 7.
Sometimes, our clients hangs on shutdown. The solution with the AutoEndTasks is already implemented. Windows hangs after this screen. The only thing that you can see is, "Windows shutdown".

Does anybody have an idea for this? We have Linked clones.

Doesn't the Remote Machine Power Policy: Power Off solve this issue? The desktop will be powered off automatically once the users logoff.

Thanks,
