Serial port with PCoIP

Is there any news about serial port and PCoIP, when it will be supported?

Thanks

I realize this doesn't answer your question, but in case you're sitting around with a serial device you want to use, there are two work-arounds that I know of:

  1. Use a serial-to-usb adapter.  I've got this one to work:

^Redirecting it to com1 or two takes a little work.  You'll have to disable the com ports from the VM bios, and then remove them from the deivce manager.  They're hidden, so you need to use the "show non-present devices" mode.

     2. Use a serial-to-ip device and configure a serial port on the virtual machine that can connect to it.  I have no experience with this, but I've heard it's been done.  Perhaps this will help:

Thanks.

I know about serial-usb and serial-ip adapter, we use it for some devices. But some devices won't work with adapters or the work (connection) is very problematic with these adapters.

On the other hand, thin clients with windows os work perfectly over RDP with all devices with serial port.
