Searching capabilities in WIN 7 & View

I have a user (Actually several) but one in particular that is wanting to be able to have the search/indexing functionality restored to their Windows 7 View system.  I know this is a best practice however the user is pretty insistant that she hates view because I shut this feature off

Anyone have any suggestions

You could configure a seperate pool on a seperate datastore with search/indexing enabled?

Are you using any Storage optimisation?

If I build a seperate datastore for one dept where will it end?
Other users will want it

I was hoping to have a different way to search

Storage optimization?  Unknown if I am doing it or not

There is 3rd party software that enable the indexing to be offloaded to another resource.  ViaWorks is one.

however it comes at a cost obviously
