Restrict moving of files from physical machine to virtual desktop ( vmware view )

Hi All ,

I have a question , I am using virtual desktop using vmware view . I am on physical machine using this machine i logon to the virtual machine using Remote Desktop.(vmware view ) . My question is i don't want users of the physical machine to copy and paste the files to the virtual machine and vice versa.

When I open virtual desktop , go to my computer , i see c drive ( disk of the vm ) and then shared drives of the physical machine . when i click on them , they open and then I am able to copy any file from that shared folder to the virtual desktop . I want to restrict that any idea how would i go about it. please help.

Are you using PCoIP or RDP? If your using RDP you can use group policy to limit the redirection. It's configured under

*Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative

Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services\Terminal Server\Device

and Resource Redirection*

There's various settings here but for just drives you're looking for

Do not allow drive redirection
