Remote Local Gaming Using VMWare?

Is it possible? Is it fast enough? Will it work well? Will it work with a cheap laptop?

Yes, it's possible but it's not complete as of yet.  3 things u will need.

A PCoIP offload card and a  GPU Hypervisor.

The PCoIP offload card will assist the server in converting the rendered graphics in to the PCoIP protocol.

The second part to the equation is an actual graphics card for the server that can be chopped and put into a Virtual desktop.  This will render the graphics a lot better and faster than any software based graphics processor that is currently in use today.  I think VMWare is working on the drivers today.   I don't believe there is anything out for View  just yet.  None-the-less, it's still needed to have good performance.

Lastly, Bandwidth the more the merrier.

Sorry Larry when i private messaged you i meant to post it here-

Ok so you said i needed a special pcoip card and something else that doesnt exist. but can you assist me in the actual process of setting this up? Im lost. Is there software i need? Certain os's? If i wanted to use an old ibm laptop as the client and my workstation as the host connected by a 1 gb switch (yes everything will be wired [or wireless if possible]) what is the process behind getting it up and running?
