Remote Desktop Performance Recommendations

I am in the process of demoing an HP thin client running RDP to a directly mapped XP VM on our ESX Cluster. This is in hopes that with buy off from management they will be willing to implement VDI 2 when its released and in the mean time go with direct mapped thin clients.

My question is does anyone have a good place to go for recommendations on tweaking and configuring RDP to ensure the best performance ??

I attached a PDF that has some good things. Only parts of it apply to what we're doing, but its a good start.

Also, Right-click my computer -> Properties -> Advanced Tab -> Performance settings -> Shut off some display effects that wouldnt normally be noticed but will help the performance.

I read a fantastic article about performance tuning VDI .... still looking for it...
