Recompute virtual disk digest spam

I just arrived on a site running vCenter 6.7 Enterprise, They had deployed Horizon 7.1 Standard no composer install they pushed 20 Static dedicated desktops.

The Horizon Connection server failed and no longer exists. Yet I am getting thousands of Recompute virtual disk digest tasks that come so fast that is is basically scrolling in vCenter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at this KB, The problem is that there never was a composer instance and the one and only Horizon connection server has failed and unrecoverable. The vCenter is a 6.7 appliance so it is not running on a windows server. So I cannot connect to a connection server to perform any of the steps in the KB.
