RSA config file "sdconf.rec"

Hello, we are integrating RSA with the View connection broker but consistently get access denied. The config file "sdconf.rec" already exists for our RSA Auth Manager host but this doesn't allow RSA SecurID to work with View, should we be creating a new "sdconf.rec" file that is specifically associated with our view broker?

I have been reviewing the RSA document about View integration but when it say "sdconf.rec must be correct file for this server" does it mean the View broker or the RSA auth Manager?

thanks

You've to create the sd file on the View server through the View Administrator. The View Administrator must be registered as a network node on the RSA Server.

Hi Christoph, I'm familiar with creating a locked.properties file for View security server but I can't determine how I create an sdconf.rec file. Our file was given to us from the RSA administrator and was created on the RSA auth manager server.

Could you possibly explain how I create Sdconf.rec on the view manager server and what should be in it?

Many thanks

Ed

Sorry, I mixed it up! Smiley Happy You have to create the file on the RSA Authentication Manager Server, then import it to the View server!

Sorry!

Ok, and I'm sorry to press you on this point, but our RSA admin guy is saying there is just one pre-existing rdconf.rec file and that is what he's giving us to use. Should we in fact be creating a new one for the View Manager server? This is what the instructions are saying to me but the admin guy says otherwise.

thanks again

There's an implementation guide at rsasecured.com I believe. If you email me, I'll look it up tomorrow. I've also done a screencast on how to set it up. I'd like to include it here but it's 20MB zipped.

In a nutshell, you need to add the VDI server as an agent host on the RSA Authentication Manager server. Then, export a new sdconf.rec on the Authentication Manager and copy it to your VDI/View server. Then enable SecurID on the VDI/View server and you should be good to go.
