Hi We have Horizon environment in which we have RDS hosts that are presented with App stacks for presenting applications. We are noticing the RDS hosts randomly changes to agent unreachable state. We tried to very the network but we don't have interruption neither in the vcenter there is any registered events.
Just positing to check any one else is facing this issue
Versions
Its a Windows 2012 farm.
Please Advice
Have you already collected the connection server and view agent log files, to see if there are any issues reported there?
I have an issue with our apps going "missing" with app volumes but not exactly this issue. I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling all the agents in the correct order on the RDSH server and see if the issue still persist.
We tried doing that still no luck
Try disabling the app vol service, restart, delete everything out of c:\svroot, enable app vol service (don't start), and reboot. See if your problem persists.
Try doing this steps:
1. restart horizon agents on the farms
2. verify if there is security issues like firewalls blocking the ports or antivirus installed on the RDS farms
Does this occur with no appstacks attached? You can test by creating an RDS pool for the farm if your only using virtual applicaitons. I've seen appstack updates cause this because it corrupts the windows firewall.
With out the App volumes agent its working with out any issues. We have raised a support case and working with support to resolve this.Currently they have informed to install 7.3.2 (Still in testing)
We have tried installing the View agent 7.3.2(based on VMware support team advice) and until now the RDS hosts are stable. Will continue monitoring and will update.
