Question on Load Balancing Two View 6 Connection Servers

After demo'ing some load balancers, we decided to purchase two Kemp LoadMaster appliances.

In our demo environment we were simply balancing two Connection servers. In testing, however, when one connection server was brought down (reboot), it disconnected the end user's session and required them to reauthenticate to get on the second connection server to re-establish their desktop session.

I'm not very fluent in load balancing, but this sounds legitimate and a normal experience. My question is, can something be setup in Horizon that we could be load balancing instead so that sessions don't disconnect during maintenance/reboots/etc...? Workspace, security server(s)?

TIA!

For internal connections, you don't want to tunnel the session over a connection server. Go to you View Admin console > View Configuration > Servers > Connection servers.

Select the servers you use for internal connections and click edit.

De-select the PCoIP gateway and HTTP(s) secure tunnel.

The session will now go directly to the desktop. after authentication to the connection server.
