Hi, I was wondering if the View product would allow me to provision apps to a mobile device such as the iPAD or even a desktop without having to display the whole desktop. I know you can provision desktops but I was asked if you could provision applications ?? If no, if there another Vmware product that can do this or do I have to use Citrix XenApp or something like that.
VMware View will not allow you to do that. The best that you can do is to utilize the iPad client for VMware View and acess the desktop that is hosting the applications.
VMware does not have a product that will perform this, unfortunately. As ThinApp functions now, it would need some serious modification to work on the iPad.
