Hello everyone,
First of all, i apoligize if i'm posting in the wrong section.
Second, i'm quite new to all of this so i'll try to explain myself as well as i can.
Recently i've set up a network of SunRays using VMWare. Before this set up, people used a standard PC with VMWare View Client to acess VMs and all worked well.
After a lot of work i managed to get to the point where almost everything is working fine. USB redirection was a problem, but i manage to work around that as well using Sun Ray Windows Connector Components.
Now, every other USB device works fine but when i connect my USB Smart Card Reader (A Gemalto GemPC Twin) something really strange happens : I detect a PIN request on the target VM (so the reader is working fine) but nothing happens in the guest OS (Windows XP - SP3) on the Sun Ray. I Checked device manager and the usb card is installed properly and it should be working fine but the fact is, nothing happens on the Sun Ray windows session but something is happening on the VM it connected to.
I read alot of similar threads on this forum and i've done most (if not all) of the advices. Most recently i added the following to my .vmx config file (at the end of the file) :
usb.ccid.useSharedMode = "TRUE"
usb.generic.allowCCID = "TRUE"
Nothing seems to work. It's really frustrating because i tried alot of different things, and the whole project is stuck on this tiny little detail.
I'd apreciate any help anyone could give.
Best regards.
