Problem creating a Pool in View 4.6

Hi Folks,

Have a new View 4.6 environment built, vCenter 4.1 with Composer 2.6 and 2 connection servers v 4.6.0-366101

I have the vcenter server added into the primary connection server using an admin account just fine, evrything looks good until I create a Pool.

When I get to the guest customization screen I need to select a specific OU in Active Directory but when I ge to this screen it does not pickup the domain.

If I hit the browse button, I get an error message saying " Cannot browse Active Directory domain null"

Any ideas greatly appreciated

Thanks

Andrew

Hi,

You should add domains and user accounts to viewcomposer settings before creating automated pool.

This can be done by editing vCenter entry in coneection broker and providing Domain/credentials under "View Composer settings"

more info can be read here https://www.vmware.com/pdf/view-46-administration.pdf  page 15

I agree with noble.  Make sure you have specified an account for View Composer that has the correct AD permissions.    Let us know if that doesn't work.

Read that guide like it is your best friend!  Here are my settings attached in a screenshot.  Check documentation to make sure that account has correct AD permissions and also make sure everything is using the FQDN.  That is important.
