I recently upgraded to View Connection Server 4.5 and View Composer 2.5. Everything installed just fine however when I go to enable View Composer on the vCenter server (in VMware View Administrator) I get the following error: "There was a connection problem." Unfortunetly the error is not more descriptive.
Here's the environment:
vCenter Server:
Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard 64 bit
VMware vCenter Server 4.1.0
View Manager Server:
Windows Server 2003 Standard 64 bit
View Connection Server 4.5.0
View Composer 2.5.0
SQL Server Express 2005
Connection to the database was successful during the install of View Composer. And, there is no problem connecting to the vCenter server from View Administrator.
Anybody have any ideas why I get the error when trying to enable View Composer?
AFAIK the View Composer has to be installed on the vCenter Server.

Yeah, I guess it helps if you refer to the upgrade guide. Right after I posted this I realized the Composer is on vCenter. Oops. Thanks for pointing that out anyway.
