Printers does not map with event id 1111

Hello,

we are experiencing problems with printer mapping in VMware View 3.1.2. Sometimes when user logon he or she cannot see any of his local printers. Usually it helps when the user logs off and on again. If I take a look to the virtual desktop the user was using there are events with id 1111 in system log for each of the user's printers. Example:

Source: TermServDevices

Category: None

Description:

Driver HP Universal Printing PCL 5 (v4.7) required for printer !!fc4p02!HP LJ 2055dn is unknown. Contact the administrator to install the driver before you log in again.

This event means that the virtual desktop does not have a driver for the printer which is correct because ThinPrint should be used

So what can be the problem? Is there any log for ThinPrint?

You can turn on logging for the ThinPrint printer mapping feature in the registry.

Here is the key and the values. Let it run for a few hours while users are logging on to the virtual machine. The output should tell you what is going on.

HKLM\Software\ThinPrint\TPAutoConnect\DebugFile = path and file name

HKLM\Software\ThinPrint\TPAutoConnect\DebugLevel = 255 (dec)
