PowerPoint Font Distortion

Hi All, I have looked around and see this seems to be an issue but I have not found a fix. So I am hoping someone here can point me to the right place or share some suggestions.

I have a powerpoint slide which has a graph which was created from excel and imorted to the slide. Looks fine, until you try and edit the graph. The fonts get all distorted, see attachments.

Thank you,

Its not a font issue I have changed font style and sizes, same results. I opened a case with VM they said its a MS issue... I am using the Wyse V10L with a dual screen, when I do single screen it works fine. Though they said its a MS issue I don't know about that. If thats the case shouldn't thier be a fix already out, I can't be the only person with this issue. I was able to replicate several times on different machines.

Hi All,

I am back to this issue again. I mean it hasn't worked yet, thought we had found a fix... we were able to get to work perfectly running on a single DVI port on the V10L and the font issue went away but this is on a single screen as well. Which is still a problem since the user needs to have a two monitors... so I had wyse ship me a dual dvi port v10l and to my surprise... it still did not work.

So if anyone has had any luck or has even experience this let me know.

Hi All,

I am back on this again... I am still having problems. Seems to work fine using a single DVI connection, once you add dual monitors the distortion reappears. Anyone here uses v10L's with dual monitors and can use powerpoint without any issues?? Let me know.

Thanks in advance,

I've experienced the same issue. It appears to be a glyph caching issue.

Have you tried upgrading your agent to View 4.5 and using PCoIP as you display protocol? So far, that's the only thing that has resolved for our organization.

Edit - Sorry I should've listed hardware specifics to be of some help with comparisons. We've experienced this problem only with using onboard dual video cards, VGA and VGI. Using a seconday USB-to-VGA display adapter seems to avoid that issue.

We have HP t5730w desktop thin clients, connected to two HP LE1901wm displays. One is connected via VGI, one is connected via VGA. It doesn't seem to be isolated to a specific connection. The only thing that seems to resolve is jumping our display protocol from RDP to PCoIP. This works fine for us, since the dual displays are only used on the WAN.

My mistake. It was posted in the View forum so I assumed you were using View to connect. Are you just using Microsoft RDP? If so, are you using version 6?

I apologize for that. I am using a v10L to access a VM via RDP from an esxi 4.0 host / vSphere 4.1 Virtual Center.

Hope that makes sense.
