I apologize if this is an arrogant question but I didn't quite know how to search for this without getting other strange hits.
What I'm looking to do is deploy a classroom with virtual machines (non-persistent) as a POC. This classroom will be usable by anyone so I'll need to entitle "Everyone" or "Domain Users" to access these machines. However, I do not want them downloading the VMWare Client on their other workstations and utilizing the virtual desktops in this pool. We'll have a separate pool for that behavior (scenario 2). My initial plan was to limit this with a firewall but doing that wouldn't allow for the second scenario at all.
Is there a built-in solution in the Horizon suite to accommodate a "workstation entitlement" or is there a better solution for my problem?
Many thanks,
-Brandon
You would need to create a second connection broker and then tag it and the desktop pool with the same tag. The next step would be routing the classroom to that particular broker.
You could use the tag feature to contain the pool to a particular connection broker only accessible via this classroom. As it stands outside of Kisok mode you can't associate a workstation with a pool of machines.
Thanks for the quick reply mittim12.
I did come across some information on the tag feature. So, in order to do it that way I would need to install the connection server(broker) software on a second server, tag the two servers differently, then limit the firewall for the second connection server? Right now we're only licensed for 80 machines so I only have 1 broker installed.

Thanks mittim12. I'll pursue that option.
