Portable "zero" client vs "Thin Client"

Im looking for a Zero client solution in the form of a netbook/laptop format or even a tablet format.  I have only found portable thin clients with embedded versions of Windows.    Has anyone come across this as of yet?

Thanks

Thanks, but we are looking for a dumb client with no user data on it.    Something disposable in the event its lost or stolen.   This way no user data is lost and all the data is 100% contained to the Datacenter.

The Wyse Pocket Cloud works great for Android and iOS, the free app doesn't include the VIEW client. I have deployed it on both OS's with no problems so far.

If you have the option to reload the hardware that you will be using Devon IT has a software based application that will allow you to do this (http://www.devonit.com/) You can either boot from CD, run the program from an OS or install the software to be the only available OS. Then you configure it to use whatever virtual enviorment you run. In this case, the user would only see the VIEW login screen and have no other real options.

Currently it looks like there are no zero clients with wireless so your option is to use the View client on iPad, Pocket cloud for Andriod, or perhaps some laptop with locked down linux and you could run View in "Local Mode".

The only thing I've found worth looking at was Tadpole.  They run the Oracle (nee Sun) Sunray ALP protocol for connecting to session managers which in turn can connect them through to your VMware environment.

As far as I know, there are no zero clients with wireless connection, so I agree with Rooster instead you use View client on iPad, Pocket cloud for Andriod or laptop so that you can run the system and view them locally http://imagicon.info/cat/5-59/1.gif
