PORT 443 over PORT 80

While performing security hardening, we have decided to block port 80 and use PORT 443 instead. I am not sure about the major implication of performing this  task.

We are not into SSL Offloading not HTTP redirection, and we have already got CA issued certificates .

I am aware, vCenter uses a certificate to authenticate with VMware Horizon Connection Servers and I have to use the same CA issued certificates on vCenter as well.

My question is, should I be taking any precautions while performing this task?

As long as you are using valid SSL certs in your environment, there will not be any problem switching from port 80 to 443. Everything can connect over TCP 443 only.
