PCoIP server logs

So I was curious if there is any good information out their on the PCoIP logs. I am using the PCoIP Log Viewer and I am trying to get a feel for what is within the normal and what isn't. I just want to be able to analyze it and know what is normal and what may be a problem.

Have you checked techsupport.teradici.com?

What kind of information do you want.  I have all of that in my head and would be happy to do a blog post.  But for the most part "normal" depends on your environment.  Packet Loss is the only thing that doesn't matter who you are, it shouldn't be above 1% and should be 0%.

More or less I want to be able to determine why VMs may have performance issues. All of our client connetions are over a WAN link. Currently I want to check performance on a client who we have a point-to-point 100 MB link to. Their VM is lagging, performing slow. So I have looked into the logs, but I don't know what I should be looking for or what is normal. So for current and future cases I would like to get a better understanding of what to be looking for in the logs. What would be the best way to determine the network bandwidth needed for the VM?

Network bandwidth is based on a lot of different things, what is the user doing, what kind of user are you dealing with (IE some expect it to be exactly like a physical desktop and won't accept anything less).

For the most part you should average less than 250k, you should have some spikes, but sub 150 is normal for me all day long, sub 100k for a call center.  As soon as you through video in the mix it can spike upward of 25M.

Its kinda hard to get into all the details over a post, its one of those things that after you look at hundreds of them you just kinda know.  The other part that makes it difficult to explain is that every time Teradici releases an update they change the log files, so things like disconnect messsages change completely.  The bandwidth stuff stays the same thankfully.

I think I might try and shoot a video of me doing training on looking at the PCoIP logs.  That would be the easiest for me as to post on this subject would take way too long but a Video I can do in a couple of hours.
