On first boot of XP VDI client user gets "Installing devices..." message

Setting up a simple VDI environment. When the user logs in to their VDI XP workstation the first time they always get "Windows has finished installing new devices..." Then they get asked to reboot. How do I stop this on newly provisioned desktops?

Reboot the VMs before the user logs on. This is a standard Windows response to seeing a new hard drive (e.g., the UDD). It can be safely ignored by the user or you can reboot the VMs before they log in.
